Tile Backer Board Washers are ideal for fixing tile backer boards panels, and insulation boards. Each 36mm tile back board washer is countersunk, allowing it to be fixed flush with the surface of the board.
These tile backer board washers are available in galvanized steel or stainless steel, with a 5mm hole punched in the centre to allow for a screw. We recommend using 12 washers to fix each 1200 x 600mm tile backer or insulation board, when fixing the boards to timber stud walling or timber floors.

The stainless steel material for the tile backer board washers are to protect them from corrosion and minimize any chance of degradation over time. The washers have a counter sunk mid-section to allow the screw head to pull into the board but the outer rim of the washers to remain flush with the board surface. This is to maintain the flat board surface ready for easy unhindered application of the subsequent layers.
