The Solid State Relay – SSR-40DA allows you to control high curent AC loads from lower voltage DC control circuitry. Solid state relays have several advantages over mechanical relays.
One such advantage is that they can be switched by a much lower voltage and at a much lower current than most mechanical relays, and since there are no moving contacts, solid state relays can be switched much faster and for much longer periods without wearing out.
Solid State Relay 40A
This particular Solid State Relay can switch current loads of up to 40A with a 3-32V DC input and a zero cross trigger control method. Each one of these relays is equipped with four screw terminals (for use with ring or fork connectors) and a plastic cover that slides over the top of the relay to protect the terminals.

* When the load current is higher than 10A, a heat sink must be added to the SSR or the SSR should be mounted on a metal base plate with heat dissipation effect, and apply the thermal grease between them. When the load current is higher than is 40A or more, fan forced cooling or water cooling is needed.

Tips: Why does SSR has advantages over EMR?
Solid state relay (SSR) is a new type of non-contact switch composed of solid state electronic components, and achieve the purpose of connecting and disconnecting circuits without contact and sparking by virtue of those electronic components (such as switching transistors, triacs and other semiconductor components). 그러므로, it is also known as non-contact switch.
