La resistenza termica PT100 è un sensore di temperatura che contiene un resistore che cambia il valore della resistenza al variare della temperatura. Sono stati utilizzati per misurare la temperatura nei processi di laboratorio e industriali, e hanno una buona reputazione per la precisione, ripetibilità, e stabilità.
L'utilizzo di un pt100 rtd dipende dalla rispettiva applicazione. Nell'industria di processo, la resistenza termica rappresenta il tipo di sensore di resistenza più frequentemente utilizzato e più comune in tutto il mondo.
