A common temperature sensor in industrial settings for determining temperature in a variety of settings is the J type thermocouple. It is made up of iron (Fe) and constantan (Cu-Ni alloy), two distinct metals that produce a voltage proportional to the temperature differential between the reference and measurement junctions.
Principe de fonctionnement

A thermocouple consists of two dissimilar metals joined at two joints in a loop so that the difference in voltage can be measured.
Because voltage changes in proportion to temperature, the voltage difference indicates temperature differences.
