Stainless steel Thick film conduction printed heaters may have very high power density and low thermal mass. This leads to ultra fast heating of water, food and other media. Energy transportation is very direct and efficient. This low thermal mass also means that energy is transferred to the water almost the second that the electricity is switched on. Very important when heating small volumes like a single cup of water. In this energy conscious age we can conserve water and energy by heating just enough for our needs instead of the minimum required by the heating medium.

The advantages of the stainless steel thick film conduction printed heaters:

1-Very low thermal mass: Puts energy into the water almost immediately the electricity is applied, under-floor heaters must first heat them selves before putting energy into the water.Will heat a 150ml cup of water in twenty seconds compared to thirty eight seconds for the same power under-floor element, hence more energy efficient.

2-Efficiency is maintained over the full life of the product:Very robust, withstands a high degree of mistreatment, for example being used dry.7.Lower running temperature, resulting in a lower thermal shock. Printed heaters run at around 180C, the tubular element core will exceed 900C, reducing their reliability.8.Works more efficiently in the presence of mineral deposits (scale).

3-Long life service time: Tests have shown that the thick film conduction printed heaters far exceeds the required product life, (five years for a kettle), accelerated life testing was stopped at 20 years having changed the kettle body to allow the testing to continue.

Simmering of the water can easily be achieved cost effectively with a single bi-metal cutout.
